Sorry for the delay in responding; staff was out for the holidays. Rutherforton falls in Region 4, the Southeast, but when folks are close to another region we suggest that you check both/all regions and consider what is “normal” for your immediate area. Remember, our predictions are deviations from the normal, or average, weather.

Christmas Snow for Frederick Md??

December 24-27th says Snowy periods north, rain south. What exactly does this mean for Frederick Maryland? Could really use a white Christmas this year!

Frederick's forecast

The Editors's picture

This region, 3, runs more or less along the Appalachian chain (thus the name), reaching as far north as New York state and south into North Carolina. Frederick is more or less in the middle of the region, so the community is more or less in the middle of the prediction. So you may have snowy periods and/or you may have rain. Whatever the weather, we hope you have a bright and merry Christmas!

We watched, listened, and heard all about it. The storm made news, the record books, hazards, and memories. Here’s hoping that you and yours were/are safe.

It snowed on 12/9/18 and last year on 12/9/17. But this time around we got almost a foot.
