Spring in the Rockies

While precipitation is always hard to predict this far out, you can be certain that March in the Rockies (Vail) will most likely be cold. If the sun is out, the winds down day temps could maybe rise into the upper 30s, nights will still be very cold. That is a very typical early spring day in Colorado Rockies. In the foothills and plains, eastern Colorado day temps could rise into the upper 40s, night’s still very cold. Not to say we haven’t had surprise warm days, typically March is still quite cool in the mountains. To share with you a scenario -I just got married in June of this year in Colorado Springs (foothills) and had we waited one day our outdoor wedding would have been on a surprisingly cold day for June and a wreck. So be prepared for cold and even possibly snow as Spring is our wettest season. I hope this helps. Not a meteorologist, just long time resident. Good luck with your wedding.

It will rain, or it won't. The sun will come out, or it won't. It could snow if you live in Siberia.

February and Early March 2019 in Montana

Forecast for February and early March for Billings Montana couldn’t be more wrong. Second coldest February on record and third snowiest. March 2 and 3 had record lows (-19) for Billings. In fact, Billings has been ~ 20 degrees below normal for over a month.

Weather in Central Montana Feb 2019

Well, I think you predicted this one all wrong for central Montana Feb. 2019 - It has been nothing but COLD COLD COLD and snowy and windy. I hope your other predictions for the rest of 2019 are more accurate.

Travel plans Mid March

March can be an odd month in CO and surrounding states. I need to drive from Colorado Springs to Dallas Tx,
In mid March. I’m wondering if we will get one of those snow storms and should not drive, I don’t want to get stuck, I’ve heard scary stories for this time of year.
Thank you
I really enjoy finding the Farmers Almanac again
