almanac wrong

well the promise of a lot of snow in our area is quickly fadding,, I know it s notan exact science, I don t know why I keep reading this every year but I would never pay for this that s for sure,,

Hi, Daniel, We do the best we can and sometimes Mother Nature takes over. Our predictions are traditionally 80 percent accurate so maybe by rights you should have received 80 percent of the predicted snowfall. But, hey—it’s not even winter, officially, yet! (It begins on December 21.) So keep the faith and keep us up-to-date, please. We appreciate that you hold high expectations of our forecasts. Cheers, and sending wishes for white your way!

For my areas the Farmer's Almanac is the only one that predicted the bitter, artic cold we had several years ago and all the precipitaion thiswinter so far. I figured "precipitiation" should mean snow...but we have had a rainy winter. Once again the Almanc is correct.

is it possible to read your pronostic in French

it would be very appreciated

or is there a way to translate on the site ?

thank you !

Our French-language forecast

Our French-language forecast for Quebec is available only in the Canadian Edition of the Almanac, unfortunately. If you do not have a copy, try using Google Translate to translate the forecast on this page into French—that should help a little!

winter forecast and maps...

Good morning! love your many publications and you are really spot on for the vast majority. now if I look at the us map on the page 2018–2019 WINTER WEATHER FORECAST
( I live in Montreal) the green area would encompass Montreal by far if we draw a line across the border the shaded area ...but if I look at the Canadian map on the same page...well its a totally different winter. Can you shed some light here ! thanks... and great articles on gardening !!

What winter should we expect in montreal this year? When should we expect first snow? Thanks!
