Summer
I live in southwest ohio and it has rained at least 60% of the time since I moved here almost 2 years ago I just want 80's and sunshine not 60's and rain this isn't Washington state
Rain
It rains every single day. How could it possibly say that there will below "normal" totals.
I’m thinking usually it rains
I’m thinking usually it rains more at a time, and this year it didn’t rain as heavily, but it happened more frequently? Also, February usually gets a ton of snow. Sometimes we get 4 feet of snow at once. That’s a lot of inches. This year, it rained and snowed often, but less at a time. It would be interesting to see a chart comparing the frequency of precipitation.
Jan 31 rainy & mild
It was anything that .... -6F record breaking low with snow ... No rain , and surely wasn't mild....
Snow
If you like snow move to McLean, Tyson's, Va. There you see more snow than Dayton, Ohio, and the surrounding areas each year.
May 25 2019
Any weather predictions for Ohio May 25 2019?
I Miss Snow In Ohio Valley
It Hasn't Snowed For Awhile
Miss Snow?
Yea? .... that's crazy! I miss the warmth of the South, fresh seafood, great food that does not taste like cardboard..etc. Yea, I know, you think I am crazy too. No worries, let not your heart be troubled. I have lived in both areas. Trust me when I say, " life is better the closer you get to I-10 !!!
From Gulf to Valley
I felt the same way when I moved to Ohio Valley from the Gulf Coast (a block from hwy 90) I miss huge crab and crawfish boils like I miss the breezy beach nights. But they can keep the humidity. LoL. Bad news is the craving only gets worse. Plan a visit asap and indulge as much as you can hold, is the only recommendation I can give you. My family is my comfort here in the cold Ohio Valley, hope you have that comfort as well. Be blessed.
Miss snow
That's funny, I wonder how many of us true Southerners can say that? I'm from Niceville a stones throw from Ft Walton bch, Destin and Panama city... I miss the warm night breezes on the beach too but Ohio will get snow again soon.. do you remember what happens at or around 2pm each day in Florida???
