OFA Services

Thank You, OFA! I truly appreciate your endeavour to provide weather data, gardening info, & all the wonderful information OFA shares! I agree people should not use OFA as a complaint board! The people complaining, have they paid for a specific service, that can be disputed in a litigation forum? I think NOT! OFA is not a platform to waste time, reading a ridiculous complaint! Respectfully, R.M. Villa, Blackfoot~Cree Nations Elder, Missoula, MT, USA.

forecasts

I love weather watching! My Dad was a farmer and weather watcher. He's gone and how I miss sharing Nature's awesome power and the many lessons she brings with weather. His first lesson if you want to know what's happening with the weather for the day just look out the window and remember betting your life on a forecast is like jumping off a bridge and not knowing if the water deep enough. We can't complain about the changing weather because Nature is like us ladies, entitled to change our minds at any given moment. We so enjoy visiting your beautiful Blackfoot Nation in Montana, where we can truly see powerful and rapid weather changes. We've been visiting twice a year for decades.

May is very False and Untrue

We are in St. George Utah which is in intermountain South region. Right now up until May 22 we are suppose to be every day 15-20 degrees below normal and have chance of precip. everyday. Your prediction states we are suppose to be approx. 4 degrees above normal for the month of May Very Untrue

Comments

Almanac.com should remove the comments section. People only use it to complain, and honestly nobody using this site should be complaining. Nobody cares about their ridiculous complaints. They should use their freedom of choice to use another, far less accurate site, try being an active jacka$$ about social issues instead. Everyone thinks they should have a platform to release all their nonsense and/or ruin someone else's whole day. Get a grip people everything you think does not need to be known by all. Weather is hard to predict, if is inaccurate stay in bed until it's the way you want it.

Such complaining

My gosh, what's with all the complaints?! The OFA does a pretty decent job, but weather is not 100% predictable, and if you don't care for the site then just browse somewhere else. They do a lot better than most other sources. And it is a lot of work to put together so many long range forecasts, and two months for free. I think thats pretty good. I don't see any of the main stream weather sources putting out predictions months in advance. Geez people have become so spoiled and complain way too much, it gets so old!! I think The Old Farmer's Almanac is doing a great job!!!!

Thumbs UP!

Thanks for being appreciative and positive! We need more people with your great attitude!

Talk about complaining

Listen, why are you complaining about people complaining? You don't need to read the comments just get your weather and go if you have a problem with it. This is America, and if someone wants to complain you get to deal with it, get used to it. You speak of wasting time reading complaints and then waste more time writing a complaint about complaints it's completely and aggravatingly asinine. GET OVER YOURSELF!

Hey Shana

Sorry didn't mean to reply to your comment, I meant to hit leave comment. Nothing I said was in direct relation to your comment. Oops

Amen to that!

Preach on, Shanna!!!
There should be an app or a browser setting that would allow you to "disable comments" on any, all, or selected websites. If I made it, I'd call it the "Jackass Blocker" ... LOL!

With all these "keyboard warriors" and the "Negative Nancy" types on the internet nowadays, it's no wonder our societies are what they are.

Shameful to make such complaints and negative comments on a site like this ... specifically, pertaining to an article that is titled a "prediction of weather." Seeing as though it is an article PREDICTING weather over such a long period of time, AND the territory/region of which this prediction is for ... I'm totally impressed!!!!! So many of the cities listed in this region fall in the old adage of, "if you dont like the weather now, just wait 10/30/45 minutes." I live in Spokane, WA and have lived in Albuquerque, NM and traveled throughout this region and I think that trying to find any solid geographical common denominator from 1 city to the next would be difficult!! Then trying to predict the annual weather/climate patterns for such a variety of terrains?!!?!?!?! Mind blowing if you ask me!
I feel that for our region up here, their prediction from November 2018 to present day (July 13) is VERY ACCURATE! Theres a month or two in there that didnt happen exactly as they predicted ... but NEVER would I gripe and complain about it! Especially since that month or two may not have been spot-on outside my front door, but were probably spot on for another location in the ENTIRE REGION!!!!!!!

Local news weather anchors aren't even accurate 100% of the time trying to predict just the NEXT DAY'S forecast IN THEIR IMMEDIATE AREA.

UGH ...
PEOPLE.

No, you are the problem

The problem is people like you, the attitude you are taking is what is ruining societies everywhere. Nobody can say anything cause you might not want to hear it because it offends your sensibilities, as I told the last person, GET OVER YOURSELF. We do not need your lectures, we do not care about your weak view point of view that people should all go around saying sorry for every little tiny thing they do. You don't need to read the comments, If you think they are great leave your positive review and go, move on with your life instead of stopping to type a half chapter tooting your own horn about how you don't like how people toot their own horn. Can none of you see how hypocritical you all are? "Let's make posts complaining about people who complain" and now you got me complaining about posts which contain complaints about complainers, you see how incredibly redundant it all is? Life can't be constant positivity, it's simply not how the world works. If people aren't allowed to vote with their voice and let services know when they are not performing as expected all we will have are completely useless services that will be entirely valueless because we just sit by and watch as they decline because people like you don't want to have to read negative reviews. Your viewpoint is absolutely inane.
