Utah
Yes, that would include Central Utah! Thanks for your kind words!
Forecasting will become more like 50%
Unfortunately, we are past the tipping point, and due to the historical models that relied on the reflective properties that reflected th e suns radiation is all but gone for months at a time. I hate yo say it, but I fear the long term forecasts that rely on historical trends will cause annual releases with quarterly updates to take count of global events from melting ice, volcanic debris, and more frequent "large" fires that locally add a smoke layer that also maintains heat.
I love your work guys, any insight on your expected challenges?
Just curious. Thanks
this week's forecast
I love to rely on the Farmer's Almanac for weather; however, today we are expected to reach 106! This is not exactly the "cool" (Aug 9-13 Sunny, cool north; scattered t-storms south) that is indicated...lol
106°F
So right, and that fact may be the factor that reinforces our 80% (not 100%) accuracy rate. Thanks for keeping tabs, especially with an LOL.
On a more serious note, as an article set for the 2020 edition will show, the high temps are due in part to the warmth at the North Pole and surroundings. Thanks again—
Ontario, OR
we are seeing TRIPLE DIGITS. been hot for days, gonna be hot for days
What's winter looking like?
Hey I was wondering what winter 2018-2019 will be looking like for Ontario Oregon. Or malheure county in general
North west Colorado
Temperatures are a little higher than normal here, about 90-95 most days, nights are down to the mid 50's- almost no precipitation. I think it has rained about a total of an hour in the last month and a half. with wildfires happening almost daily it seems, most folks here are harvesting early for fire prevention sake. we can see the rainfall to the north and south of us, but its skipping by us every time. someone do a rain dance for us.
June
I am farming lavender in the Mission Valley 45 miles north of Missoula. My harvest season is over a week late to start compared to previous years because of the cool and very rainy weather. It feels like Portland!
Above Average
States this week it's supposed to be sunny:cool. Our local weather is predicting 101-106F for the next 3 days straight. No relief in sight for the Reno, Nevada area.
A Memorable Memorial Weekend
In Butte, MT we are seeing a first, lilacs opening by Memorial Day; typically have our last snow storm this weekend.
