Rain!

Thank you! We should be thankful for it because we always need it! Everyone’s always complaining about the drought and that we don’t get enough rain and now complaining that it’s raining!

Oohhh aahhh you are wrong! Haha

It rained almost every April 2003-2008. Do not write just to write haha.

As an April baby

I just had to leave a comment to the person who says its never rained in April as a person born in April I CAN TOTALLY TELL YOU THAT IS FALSE!!!!!!! have you ever heard of the saying APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS hmmmm I wonder why that is could it be that it MEANS THAT IT RAINS IN APRIL so sorry to tell you but it rains in APRIL

Sometimes we wish we were wrong, too. Hope you get some relief, Sarah. Thanks for letting us know you care so much!

If you dont like the rain

Then move!! To someplace hot

Rain

People can't always pick up and move. A little grumbling and ventilating relieves stress. People have done this since there have been people

Pretty much useless

They keep updating their forecasts after the event has happened! Bogus models and antiquated and dated approach. Sorry. Get in with the times

Forecasts

The Editors's picture

We do not change our long-range forecasts after they have been published. Our forecasts are created up to 18 months in advance based on a number of factors, including solar activity, historical and forecasted weather patterns, and atmospheric conditions. As climate science has evolved, so have our forecasting methods, though we still rely on the basic theory that our founder used 228 years ago.

If you are looking for the latest, up-to-the-minute weather info, then I’m afraid our forecasts won’t be of much help. However, if you want to get a general idea of what weather to expect five months from now, our forecasts are the ones to use—and with an overall average accuracy of 80%, we still have faith in our methodology!

Yosemite waterfalls in September

Any idea if there will still be water flowing in the waterfalls in Sept. 2019, based on the current snow pack and rainfall? My husband and I are planning to visit the Valley from Sept. 1 or 2 to the 7th. When I went in August 2014, the waterfalls were all dry. :-( What's your best guesstimate as to this year? Thank you!
