forcasts

Thank goodness, I get these emails because just last night I was looking through my 2019 BOOK and the 2020 MAGAZINE and either one didn't have November or December 2019 weather predictions. What happened to the book?

November and December 2019 can be found in the 2020 Old Farmer’s Almanac!

Weather forecasts

I always buy every year the Old farmers almanac w Ben Franklin on cover. This year it’s all changed- it’s thinner no funny stories or games and the regions of weather are confusing I’m either 8 or 9 living in Ohio valley of Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh pa and Yet it says Northeastern? No Ohio valley mentioned. I don’t know? I liked the way it used to be w recipes funny storie jokes and interesting Ideas for the cost$6.50+ tax this isn’t worth the cost! Bring back the way it used to be ! If it’s like this every year I won’t buy it again. I liked the way it was this is thin and not interesting at all

Almanacs

It sounds like you may have mistakenly picked up a different almanac! Our almanac still contains informative and humorous stories, forecasts, recipes, mind puzzles, and so on—the way it always has!

Look for our yellow cover, which features the faces of Benjamin Franklin AND our founder, Robert B. Thomas. You can also find The Old Farmer’s Almanac in our online store.

Weather predictions

I can handle some cold, snow, and rain. But I do not want big snow falls like many feet at a time and all piled up. I have worked in snow for years and it did not bother me and I never thought about it. I guess it's just aging. Your area forecast predicts more about your movement and travel. Just thinking.

Do you ever answer the questions asked about our forecasts

I asked a question about our Fall/ Winter forecast in our area but never got an answer.
I noticed that other people don't get answers either. We live in Northcentral West Virginia.

weather

This is just a comment section. Even though folks chip in here or there, I would not expect an answer. If you want the weather prediction, you should just pick up a copy of The Old Farmer's Almanac. This is just free two months to show what you get. The rest is in the Almanac.

Ideas you may try:

Many folks who lived in the country, rural areas, mountains and hills used to pick a handful of persimmons and cut it in half and if you see a knife you will be cut by bitter cold winds and ice in winter, if it is a fork you will have scattered mild winter and if it is a spoon you will be shoveling snow most of the winter. We have been seeing spoons in our area. There is also the Wooly Worm and his colorations to predict the winter when the brown bands are narrow, it means a harsh winter is coming. The wider the brown band, the milder the winter will be.
