Incorrect predection this year

Please make adjustments to the predictions to account for climate change. The data for the Shreveport area is pretty far off for 2018. It was the coldest winter since 1984, by many accounts and the heat is above average this summer.

We do take into account a variety of factors influencing climate change—e.g., ocean temps, Arctic temps, as well as solar activity and other aspects. We aspire to our traditional 80% accuracy rate but in a given week, month, or season, we may not reach it (or we might exceed it). Thanks for your interest in the forecasts!

Christmas in Nola can vary - but generally, expect mild weather, highs around 60f. Of course, it can get interesting: there was a string of Christmases where it hit 80f, and on Christmas Day 2004 it snowed (a tiny bit, but we all freaked out of course).

Thank you!

Thank you so much for your reply! We would love the break from the cold, so keep your fingers crossed for us that you guys have a mild Christmas again this year!
