Sadly, the paper white is not hardy n my area of New Jersey. I usually toss the bulbs after blooming, but last year I put the pot in the garage and when I found then this fall, I saw green tips sprouting. I have since repotted the bulbs which likely will not bloom as they are spent, but one can never tell!
I have a lovely holly tree that is a volunteer. It has been in the yard for about 4 or 5 years now and stands 6'. It is a female and LOADED with berries. No thoters in the area that I know of so I wonder where the seed and also where the male may be located.
Thanks for the article. It brightened my day.
