My dad came up with this recipe and it is quick and easy and they are delicious.
Yield: Makes 12-24, depending on size
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 2-1/2 cups quick oats
- 2 feet of foil, lay flat
Sift together sugar and cocoa in a 2 quart pot. Add milk and stir, add stick of margarine. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until it comes to a rolling boil. Cook for 3-1/2 minutes, remove from heat, add peanut butter and oatmeal, stir quickly. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto foil. Let cool and enjoy.
