Natural Remedies: Arthritis

  • Ice your affected joints right after doing an activity. Don't allow them to become inflamed.
  • Capsaicin—the "hot" chemical in chili peppers—can relieve the pain of arthritis. You can find it over the counter at drugstores. Don't get carried away with this idea and try smearing yourself directly with chili peepers—that's a higher potency than most skin will tolerate.
  • Increase the amount of fish in your diet or take fish oil pills.
  • Exercise regularly.
  • Stretch for 18 to 20 minutes a day. Focus your stretching where it hurts the most, but increase flexibility all over.
  • Pack a small jar with golden raisins and cover them with gin. Eat nine raisins every morning, squeezing the extra gin back in the jar.
  • Bee-vemon contains anti-inflammatory peptides that act against the pain and inflammation of your arthritis. If you're allergic to bees, do not use this remedy without the supervision of a doctor. Even if you aren't allergic, buy a bee sting kit from your pharmacy and keep it handy.

I take 2 cups of white

I take 2 cups of white viniger place that in a pot along with two finely chopped Jalepeno peppers and one cup of crushed red pepper.. to this I add one sprig of Rosemary and a sprig of Mint..Bring this to a boil.. note it will raise a stink and if you are sensitive to pepper you might want to use some safety goggles.. after it has boiled for about 5 min remove from heat and let stand 20 minutes until cool... Strain the misture through some cheese cloth.. bottle the viniger use gloves and a cloth to apply to joints as needed.. be careful of open sores and do not touch your eyes or mouth with your hand(s)while it does have a smell to it it warms the joints, muscles after about 20 miniutes.. in an hour take a nice hot shower.. i use this remedy and it helps my knees and other joints better than anything "medicaly Rx'd"

I also use a decotion made

I also use a decotion made from dried Golden Rod Leaves and wild Strawberry stems and leaves.. bring a cup of each to a boil.. in 2 qts of water...Rolling boil for 5 minutes... pour the decoction into a tub of warm water.. it's best to shower prior to this soaking to open the pores of the skin to "soak up" the decotion... solak for 20 minutes in the warmest water your body can stand.. once the water starts to chill.. get out... good for arthritis and rhumitisim...
