Forecast for Calgary

This is a first. It predicts showers and cool for August but we are in a heat wave in Calgary.

Alright.... where's summer?

Red Deer - Not much rain in early spring... but now..... wow, how much rain can fall here? This is getting nuts. June was very cool and rainy. July looks to be the same and August is forecast to be worse!! This has been a brutal two years now.

When can I safely plant my garden.

I want to plant my plants in my pots is it safe from frost. I live in Grande Prairie Alberta.

Not much rain yet.

Red Deer, AB - Not much rain yet. Has been a mostly cool spring save for a couple days. Has hit plus 20 and looks to again this week.

Hoping for a much dryer summer than last. Almanac calling for a wet Aug. Need the weather to cooperate. Farmers need it this year after disaster last year. Plus, economy has collapsed and dealing with COVID. Interesting time to be alive in Alberta.

Why did the settlers stop here?

Seriously, after 20+ years in Alberta, I still wonder why the settlers stopped... this place sucks.

Very accurate predictions

We farm by Wembley AB and the Almanac has been pretty spot on so far this winter with both the temperature and precipitation predictions. And historical information shows that they are very good at their job. Keep up the good work Almanac. February 3/20 -26 at the farm. One more cold snap... come on spring.

Canadian Prairies - reply to Travis at Red Deer

Not too warm today. It is -48C this morning and I am a little north of Edmonton. I see Red Deer is -37C. Farmer's Almanac does pretty good considering they do the weather forecast so far in advance. It has been a fairy warm winter up to now and they forecast above normal temperatures for November and December. Now they are forecasting below normal for January - March and it is extremely cold out there today. I enjoy reading the Farmer's Almanac's weather and am amazed at how they can predict so far in advance.

Totally wrong and SCREW the rain!

Red Deer, AB - Looks like you guys are wrong for Jan 2020... forecast is above average temps for a few weeks.

Also, you guys are calling for quite a bit of rain in the 2020 yearly summary. My god, how much more do we need after last year? I was digging post holes in early Oct. and the ground was full of moisture. Hoping for some of that summer '18 weather where it hit over 40 degrees C. That would be awesome.

Snow in Alberta

Does anybody have an opinion on how much snow we will get in December/ end of November??
