Ever think it could be all the "clean air" we have now causing these hot summers? No smog left to filter out the sun lol.

Long range

Here in San Antonio we had a great snow during our short winter. Very wet April and cool. May 2018 has been basically dry, windy, and next 8 days are forecast to be 100+! Whew! Moved here from Virginia mountains 1.5 years ago. Used to love gardening there but gracious, its been a trial here. Growers need to adjust their shipping times for mail order delivery to this area! By the time it arrives, it is so hot the poor baby plants struggle, even those indicated for this zone.

2018 Texas prediction

You got it wrong. No winter, above average spring temps with below normal precip. Try again next year.

Farmer's Almanac Hit the Mark

Farmer" Almanac predicted a colder and wetter than normal winter with above average snow fall. for our region (Houston area). It was colder than normal by far and we had two snow events and one ice event in this area, right with FA predictions. Also when I looked at the November 2017- October 2018 predictions last year FA forecasted a cooler and wetter April 2018, again right on the money.

What months does the wind not blow so much in my area. It has been blowing 20-25 and higher.

Weather forcast

Very helpful, I just purchased a Vineyard and I needed the information that was provided to me here.

Spot On!

Y'all have been basically spot on for us in East Texas! I sure hope it continues with the cooler predictions!

Add-on to last comment

I didn't see an edit button for my last comment. I wanted to add that I still love you Farmers Almanac and will continue to read you faithfully.

Missed for Oklahoma

it's been a very mild winter in Oklahoma. You could barely call it winter at all. Very little rain, practically no snow. You missed it this year Farmers Almanac.

Lubbock in NW Texas just set a record 99 days (since 1911) with no measurable precip, from 11/8/17 to 2/15/18. It was broken 2/16 with .01 measured at the airport.

Just sayin...
