Good morning! love your many publications and you are really spot on for the vast majority. now if I look at the us map on the page 2018–2019 WINTER WEATHER FORECAST
( I live in Montreal) the green area would encompass Montreal by far if we draw a line across the border the shaded area ...but if I look at the Canadian map on the same page...well its a totally different winter. Can you shed some light here ! thanks... and great articles on gardening !!

What winter should we expect in montreal this year? When should we expect first snow? Thanks!

I'm sick and fed up with winter thaws. It totally wrecks skiing and skating. Hoping it will be different this year!

winter 2019

Well, the problem is that on almanac.com I read that this coming winter will bring "slightly below normal temperatures" to Southern Quebec, while an article on CTV News citing Farmers' Almanac warns Canadians to brace for a "nasty, brutish", "very, very cold winter".
So, which is it?! Thanks.

We're the Oldest for a Reason

Hi, Tina: We’re the “OLD Farmer’s Almanac” with the yellow cover, at 227 years the oldest continuously published periodical in North America, and yes, expect colder and snowier. We can’t be held responsible for what you may have heard from the “Farmer’s Almanac” on TV! Thanks for asking!

Good morning!

I have always gotten a blast when I read the old farmers almanac. I have tracked the predictions you make and find them, although general, they are close to what we get in terms of weather. I make my neighbors laugh when I site the old farmers almanac as my source for what I believe the weather will be. Thanks. Mega
