May Showers

Looks like there's gonna be a good deal of rain (hopefully, just rain) in May. Hopefully, that'll keep any smoke away.

It's cold out there.

Seems the Almanac has hit a number of fouls before striking out so far this year at least in S'toon. Oh well.

It’s been one of the coldest February’s on record. Like -30 everyday. Now I might be wrong but last time I chequed -30 is well below normal!

New verb

Whilst I appreciate you using the spelling "cheque" for a promissory note, in this instance I believe the verb "to check" might be more appropriate. On the other hand I will remember your verb "to cheque" when I write one in a few days time.

Noted Scholar in the Room...

Sir, Madam, thank you for your kind expertise in spellchecking!

Prairies Canada

I cannot agree with all of the crtical comments weather in Winnipeg has been spot on with your predictions. I only wish Ihad paid attention earlier.

Weather prediction for western canada

We have been having the coldest weather in years. Prolonged cold with many areas receiving very large amounts of snow. Very surprised about your prediction they are usually a lot more accurate.

I haven’t found an accurate or supportive prediction yet - not even Drew Lerner.

Yeah, that is called "climate

Yeah, that is called "climate change" and it's actually been a pretty big cause of concern for many years but unfortunately the most powerful and profitable (inhumane) corporations of the world have been choosing to ignore that for too long and now we're screwed. If you are of my generation or the next (Gen Y aka Millennials, and Gen Z) you will never have a grandchild who lives passed the age of 50, if even that.

You can expect the years to get colder and colder with winters lasting longer every year until you die. The only way this doesn't happen is if young revolutionaries educate and organize themselves to gain power in government and make drastic changes to how our industries are run.

If that happened it would take around 3 decades to undo *most but not all* of the damage we've done to our atmosphere, *possibly* preventing the mass-extinction of all sophisticated forms of life on Earth.

Expect your colds to be colder and your hots to be hotter - indefinitely. Weather patterns are changing, and there's nothing good coming from it.
