Your blog is very nice. These tools are really very helpful...:-)

My life has been ruined by this heat

Every day I wake in a puddle of sweat.
At this point, taking two different shirts with me to work and school is the norm.
When something brushes up against my back, it sticks to me.
Everyone I've ever met has phrased the words of "Oh, you're so wet!"

Thank you, Texas, for ruining my life.

clothing

As for me, I got rid of everything except swimming trunks(loose fit) and muscle shirts and tennis shoes.
Had to stop going places that require more clothing. Take cold showers 3 times a day. Do this for the rest
of your life because I ain't getting any better.

People who can't take the hot weather.

You all who do not like the southern heat, may want to move. Because Texas is always hot. We see very little cold weather, but I love it. I love to visit the northern states in the summer. That is very nice!

TOO HOT TO HANDLE...

I hear you! I have the A/C going and don't even have covers on me - wake up with soaking, wet hair, and body. Just walking to the cafeteria for lunch I come back feeling like I'm about to have a heat stroke! I'm getting older but this heat is the pits - where is FALL? Feel like temps in Austin - 101!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Summer in Texas

For all of you complaining about the summer heat in Texas, maybe you should go back to where you came from. I have lived in South Texas all of my 70 years and this summer wasn't the worst. I have lived through hotter ones and drier ones. I love Texas because I hate cold. When the temperature gets below 65 (F) I am bundling up.
When I was growing up, there were no air conditioners anywhere except in some large stores. Even the County Courthouse was "open-aired". Schools were built to catch the wind and keep the rooms ventilated. That worked for me. We even keep the A/C off in the house until the daytime temps exceed 85 and above, then we will crank the A/C set at 80 degrees.
You yankees who come here and then complain about the heat would have cussed me if I were living in your polar ice house, so, ya'll get the cussin here. Either get used to the heat and start to learn how to vote like a conservative or get the "F" outta my STATE

Summer Sucks in Texas

So your from Texas and you enjoy this crappy heat, Well I'm from Texas too and I literally hate the Texas heat. I work in the most intense heat fighting wildfires and so on for 29 years and still going. So before you down grade anyone because of their dislike of Texas heat you need to stop and think twice before you say anything. Nobody cares if you had an air conditioner or not, thats your problem not ours! So you enjoy your Texas Heat because the older you get the worse it gets, trust me I have worked with a lot of heat related emergencies to know that summer heat is nothing to play with. Everybody has rights to their own opinion bashing isn't one of them. So you get the F*** OUT OF MY STATE.

Ironic

A rather self-indicting statement there.

heat

Isn't there a saying, "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the state?"
