Flying into Chicago in Jan 2020

I am planning to fly into Chicago from an international destination around 20th Jan in 2020. Would it be a good time to fly in?

Flying to or through chicago in january....Nooooo!

It was a long time ago, but the last time I got snowed-in at an airport was in Chicago in January! If you Must go at that time--plan ahead--bring snacks and a few good books--just in case! In my case, the airline paid for us to stay in nice hotel overnight and sent a shuttle for us the next morning---but I don't think they do that any more---Research your airline and see how they handle situations like that....

Not a good idea.

I live in Chicago. I don’t fly in and out of Chicago in January nor February unless its an absolute must. Flights are usually cancelled due to weather.

My niece came for an audition last January and her flight kept being cancelled each day for a total of 5 days. The hotel she stayed at had room availability but she had to pay for it. Hotels don’t typically lets you stay for free but may sometimes give you a discounted rate.
