I use baking soda for my lights, brights and whites. No more yellowing from bleach.
Also for smelly clothes, towels and bedding to remove odors.
Put the baking soda in as the washer fills and let it run with detergent for a few minutes to dissolve, not that it completely dissolves. Leaves bedding and other wash softer, brighter and odorless.
I use baking soda and water for washing my indoor pet kennels to freshen them. I also use a quarter cup baking soda in with my laundry detergent in washing my pets bedding. It removes all the smells of animals and the occasional accident in their indoor kennels.

Your grandfather must have felt so proud of his accomplishment. He didn't think only of himself when he purchased the land. He helped his fellow man. You should be proud of grandad.
If you have tag moles, make a paste of baking soda and castor oil. Dab it on the mole and cover it with a bandaid. It will take a while of applying the paste every day, but eventually the mole will just drop off with no scaring or anything. Really works!
For a sour stomach add a heaping teaspoon to a cup of water. You will burp, and get instant relief.
Breaks down grease and grime on countertops, stove, oven, in sinks.
Mix with coconut oil in equal amounts for toothpaste. Add to facial wash to remove make up.

My mother taught me many years ago to add a pinch of baking soda to rhubarb or gooseberry pie to take some of the 'bite' away. Without so much tartness you can use less sugar.
When my gout begins to flare up, a pinch of baking soda in apple cider vinegar clears it right up.
A question.. Need to know. My fiancé is 69-year-old and suffers from gout alot do you use it internally or external ?
