How are cobwebs formed?
Answer
Cobweb is the name usually given to a spiderweb that is covered with accumulated dirt and dust. Located in a spider’s abdomen are glands called spinnerets, which secrete the substance the spider uses to β€œspin” the silken threads. Spiderweb designs vary according to the species of spider, but each web usually has several spokes leading from the main structure.
