What is an effective way to get rid of mice in a house?
Short of suggesting that you buy a pet snake and let it slither around your house (snakes love mice), we recommend using a traditional mousetrap in a better way. Bait it with peanut butter. Reset the trap each time you catch a mouse, but you probably won’t need to add more peanut butter each time. We don’t recommend chemical poisons. These usually work by dehydrating the rodents, sending them in search of water. They find it and then drown, or crawl off and die in your walls. The common house mouse can squeeze through a hole three-quarters inch in diameter and can leave about 18,000 droppings in a year.
