Bob Berman is an astronomer, author, and science communicator with decades of experience making the wonders of the universe accessible and engaging. Known for his wit and insight, Bob has captivated audiences with his writing, public speaking, and appearances on national television.

Bob was the longest-running columnist for Astronomy Magazine, where he wrote the popular “Strange Universe” column. He also serves as the astronomy editor for The Old Farmer’s Almanac and is the chief astronomer for SLOOH, the community observatory. He has written ten acclaimed books, including Zoom: From Atoms and Galaxies to Blizzards and Bees: How Everything Moves

Bob has led aurora and eclipse expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic and founded the Catskill Astronomical Society. He previously directed the summer astronomy program at Yellowstone National Park and taught astronomy as an adjunct professor at New York’s Marymount College.
