Yes, you can absolutely make a simple syrup. I don't use white sugar myself, but I would say, add your fresh violet flowers to a mason jar, pour over hot water and let that infused for 4 hours or overnight. Strain and then pour into a small pot, add sugar with a medium heat and stir until it dissolves. As far as amounts, I don't have a recipe, but the more sugar you add, the thicker and sweeter it will be, of course. And it will be a beautiful purple and sometimes even blue color :) Heat will damage some of the nutrients but the minerals will still be viable. Some say the Violet holds a special energy for the emotional heart. Simply gazing at the purple color can feel healing :) Have fun!
