I am a Southern Belle and I absolutely loathe winter. I suffer in winter like others do in summer. I simply can't warm up when I get cold and ny bones hurt into the marrow. I don't know how you Northerners can bear your long winters. I usually stay in bed with the electric blanket on plus six other blankets. I drink some hot tea, but oddly enough all I want to do is drink more room temperature water once the temperature sinks to 25°F. I lose my appetite at this point too. I can't drink hot chocolate or coffee, so those are our. The only thing that helps is my mind game of wicked glee when others have colder or snowy weather than we do. No ice or power outages, that's not funny at all.
