The celebration of Easter is rooted in Pagan worship. It has nothing to do with Christianity. The importance and presence of Jesus is his teachings and his sacrificial death for all of humankind. He is the True God’s Son, the Messiah (the Chosen One), The True God’s spokesperson. All people that listen to him and are obedient to “All” his teachings, (found in the Bible), are the only ones who are going to be granted “Everlasting Life”. The Apostle, Luke, was inspired to write in : 1 Cort. 6: 9-11. This was clarified in addition to the 10 Commandments,
for all true Christians. Please consider these things.
I would change the picture. Now a days people will probably not look at the article and think the date is April 9. Thanks for the article!!!
I already knew about the "first Sunday after the first full moon after the Vernal Equinox. But you enlightened me on the "Ecclesiastical equinox." Thank you also, for doing a great job of explaining the Christian meaning.
I wish dearly that you would publish again the "Formula For Determining The Date Of Easter For Any Year In The Gregorian Calendar" that appeard only in the 1977 edition of the Old Farmer's Almanac. It's the only one that got the steps right. However, I know of one mistake you made. In step 4, you had 27/25 as 2(for 1977)as the quotient(discard the remainder). It should have been 1. Other than that, it that, it appears that you got it right. Wikipedia didn't use all the letters, and most important, they didn't include the n+1 that's very important, and they don't have a way to get in touch with them as you do.
