Can you suggest an inexpensive way of ridding my apartment of fleas brought in by a cat? I have used insecticides in the past but can’t afford them now, and I can’t call in an exterminator.
Answer
Fill a shallow dish with water and add a few drops of dishwashing liquid. At night, when the rest of the house is dark, set a small lamp next to the dish. The light will attract the fleas, and they will jump into the water and (with any luck) drown.
