I’d like to putty my window sash and sills this summer, but in the past I’ve had problems with the putty not adhering properly. Any suggestions?
Answer
Use a coat of linseed oil on the sash and sills before puttying. Dry wood sucks the strength out putty, but linseed oil will prevent that problem.
