What is the weather usually like on Mars?

Because its orbit is so far from the sun and it has a very thin atmospheric blanket, Mars is quite a chilly place. Surface temperatures hover around 60 below zero C at the planet’s equator and can go as low as 123 below zero C at the poles. Mars has a distant orbit from the Sun, about 50 percent farther away from it than Earth is.
