When is a good time to prune trees?
Answer
Depends, for many trees, pruning is best done when your saw is sharp or they will never get done. Most fruit trees need to be pruned in the dormant season (winter to early spring). “Bleeders” like maple and birch should not be pruned until after they leaf out in the spring. —Gardening experts George and Becky Lohmiller, Hancock, New Hampshire
