Where did we get the practice of shaking hands?
Answer
Shaking hands to greet someone is a practice that goes back to medieval times when travelers, meeting on the path, extended their right hand as a show of peace or non-threatening nature. The idea was that if you were able to offer your right hand to a stranger, chances were you weren’t going to draw your sword.
