can these mini palm trees also be grown outside. Arizona climate?
I just inherited 2 beautiful small ponytail palms. They are each in their own pot. Each of these plants has 3 bulbs that are sitting more on top of the soil than IN the soil. One of the bulbs appears to be a bit shriveled . In both pots the 3 bulbs are sitting at an angle and are connected. Shouldn't they be half way in the soil ? They DO have lovely, graceful, green tendrils but I want to keep them this way. Will the 2 plants keep doing as well having moved them from one house to another ?
Do you know if you can repot a ponytail Palm in rock and sand, like you can a peace lily? Tks!
I have an Elephant Foot Palm about three feet tall with three separate plants in the same pot. It is growing very well. I have it outdoors and it had a few white flies on the leaves. I sprayed with a soap mixture, which took care of the flies, but the new growth from the center of each plant just kind of rotted away. I cut away the rotted part in the center, and it is growing, but looks very strange. Can I cut the tall part coming out of the caudex? Will this destroy the plants?
Thanks
I need to know the price of a ponytail Palm that is more than 10 feet tall. Thank.
A 20 foot tall ponytail palm is about 1k delivered. Of course it could be different in your area. Hope this helps! :)
My elephant palm is a few years old. I think it got over watered when I was away at school and now all of its leaves are gone. I pulled it out of its pot to repot it and all of the little roots fell off. Now it only has the larger roots and they look dry. I continued to repot it, but I don't know if it's dead or not. Will it come back.
