Me too! I bought my ponytail plant for 35 cents on the clearance rack at Walgreens, it was "glued" in with pebbles. I will be repotting and following all of the great advice on this forum.
My pony tail palm is 6 years old I repotted it once seems to being great I thought about repotting it, not sure...I only water very little and use left over bottled water that some one leaves on the counter. Its in my kitchen on the counter in between two windows plenty of light but not sunlight should I move it to a window with sun or leave it alone? I keep thinking about the saying if it ain't broke don' fix it...:)
Thank you
Hello, I have a ponytail also and my cat almost broke off one of its stems (not the main one). I found it hanging by one third/quarter of the stem and quickly set it straight and taped it. Usually I am not overly sensitive about houseplants, but keeping in mind that it belonged to my mother, I can't say I am very calm about the whole situation. So the questions are: is there any point in hoping that it would heal? Or should I plant the broken part and hope it will live? Thanks
my pony tail palm may need repotting but i'm not sure. how can i tell when it's time to repot?
Can I plant a broken pony tail stem that has broken off ? if so How
