Some parts of Canada still change their clocks on the same schedule as the United States. However, provinces and territories set their own time rules, and several of them stopped changing clocks in 2026.
British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and the Northwest Territories will not turn their clocks back on November 1, 2026. Yukon and Saskatchewan also use one time year-round.

Living above or below 45 degrees North/South. DST is helpful because the sun wakes me up earlier and earlier anyway. I woke up today thinking it was an hour later than it is. Because of the sun. What do you know? DST is in a few days.
DST need to go away, move the clock forward and leave it. It serves no purpose and I would much rather have more sunlight in the evening than the morning.
LIGHT AND MORE LIGHT! I vote for year round DST.
We're going along nicely with more sun until Nov. then as we go into the colder months
why make it worse by setting the clock back so that it's cold AND dark as well. Even with
the DST continuing there will be a natural lessining of sun anyway. Keep the Light going....
Amen, Linda! I’m a light lover too — I suffer from Seasonal affective disorder (SAD) and the shorter days in fall put me into a funk - but that first Sunday of November when we “fall back” is the absolute worst! I know staying on DST Year round won’t change the days getting shorter, but at least it won’t happen all of a sudden.
Make DST the standard time. Closer to actual Sun rise and Sun Set balance.
Agree!
I think DST should start on the first Sunday in March since we are back at the sunrise point when we left DST on the First Sunday. Doing so would make Standard Time symmetric about the first Sunday in January, which is the first Sunday nearest to the Winter Solstice. DST could simply be referred to as "Eight On, Four Off" to denote the eight months (First Sunday in March to the First Sunday in November) that we observe it and the four months (First Sunday in November to First Sunday in March) that we do not observe it.
I have always thought DST is the stupidest thing ever. I am fed up with the so called Government trying to control people. I thought we lived in America, the U.S.A.. They've always tried taking our rights away. I'll better don't don't lose any time. Our 1st amendments are being taking away!!
I couldn’t agree more. One more stupid thing the government wants to control. I know when the sun is up and when the sun is down. I don’t need the sun to tell me when I need to get up and go to work. Sun isn’t up when I go to work anyway so I could care less
Do away with DLS!!!!!
