Our favorite place is Broadkill Beach,DE, where we surf fish and kayak. That is why we married there under surf fishing rods!

We booked a catering place on the Great South Bay on Long Island, NY. The ceremony was to take place on the lawn...however a nor'eastern blew in that morning. The whole event happen inside with rain hitting windows hard and big waves within sight. We and our guests appreciated being together and dancing the day away! A happy time for all.
So joy can happen even on a rainy day!
September is the best. You can almost be sure of good weather. Much more consistent than June no matter where you live.
June isnt bringing the best of summer like heat to us in the northeast. I was thinking we would be warm and hot in June but its been cloudy and below normal temps for the first half of the month. Im seriously hoping that well hit the 90s next week, I was a summer bride but who wants to have a wedding in a summer thats never existed (yet) Hoping July and August will give fair share of heat. Its beautiful and warm now and the heat streak next week is happiness to me! That pattern better be behind us! I got married on July 17, 1983 and it was very warm (of what i remember) because that was years ago!!
I got married in February! in the heart of winter I was getting married on top of Liberty Mountain in Virginia. It was actually really beautiful because we had a snow storm a few days before so we had plenty of snow left over. I got pictures in my album of the wedding and you can see the snow capped trees. Of course im used to getting snow because winter isnt very gentle to us like it is in the south. A June wedding would have been great!! but i wouldnt trade that day for a summer wedding. June isnt starting out very pretty up here anyway. This is the worst way to start the "month of love" summer is back this weekend and next week! Im welcoming the warm summer weather when it gets here except this time i want it to stay!!
A snowy mountain wedding sounds beautiful!
A lo-o-ong time ago I was an August bride. I was married at my parent’s home by the Rio Grande River. We had taken down the hummingbird feeders so that the wind would not spill sugar water on the guests. As a result, irate hummingbirds buzzed the entire wedding and reception. My wedding pictures show the sparkling river, golden grass and really ticked-off little birds.
