GET RID OF THIS TIME WASTING EXERCISE...BUSINESSES & SCHOOLS CAN EASILY CHANGE THEIR HOURS OF OPERATION IF THEY LIKE.
I am with those that wish we stayed standard time without the changes. We lived 8 years in Japan where they don't do the daylight savings time change. It was very nice not to have to adjust my sleeping times or mess with getting up an hour earlier than what my body was accustomed to. I do wish that Missouri would get rid of it the way Arizona has, but I'm sure that won't happen.
I may not get this quote quite right, but I believe it originates from a Native American. 'Only a moron believes that cutting an inch off one end of a blanket and sewing it on the other end gets you a longer blanket.'
As you read through the posts. Some are for DST and others for standard time. We have some states that want to stay on DST and some that do not. We certainly can not have it where every state just does it on thing. Imagine trying to keep up with which state is on DST or not. I suppose this is why no decision has been officially enacted. Looks like it will take the entire country voting in order to enact anything. I can see the ads now.
I wish they just stay on DST year round I hate the changing back and forth but enjoy the later daylight in the summer.
Obsolete practices that no longer need to exist in the 21st century with the move to renewable energy sources like wind and solar. DST instead has now become mindless pablum for DJs and TV morning show hosts to caw about as they banter back and forth incessantly.
simple get rid of it
If we have to have DST it should be from May 1st to October 1st, this starting earlier and ending later every year needs to end.
Do away with it,it’s ridiculous and a pain in the a——.Change your work hours if you don’t like the sun’s hours
It's time for us in the US to eliminate DST and go to GMT as our time reference.
GMT would also eliminate the need for time zones. It would of course take an act of Congress to do this, as so very much commerce would have to change also.
