Are you or your loved ones a Gemini? Find out why Geminis are symbolized by the twins—and more about the Gemini personality and compatibility.
Gemini Dates of Birth Range
Gemini is the third astrological sign in the zodiac. Under the tropical zodiac, the Sun usually transits this sign between May 21 and June 20.
The symbol of the Gemini zodiac signisa pair of twins, represented by Castor and Pollux, who are twin half-brothers in Greek mythology, known together as the Dioscuri. As the myth goes, the twins had different fathers and Pollux was the son of Zeus, the Greek king of the gods, making Pollus immortal. When Castor, a mortal, was killed, his twin couldn’t bear to be parted and asked his father Zeus to intervene. Pollux was allowed to split his immortality with his twin, and they were transformed into the two brightest stars in the constellation Gemini.
Geminis are said to have a dual nature, as symbolized by twins. This sign rarely likes to do anything alone. The twins represent a dual-natured personality; sometimes contradictory but also adaptable, with the capability to view life from different angles. The sign of Gemini is thought to be very flexible and closely associated with the free-flowing exchange of ideas, communication, and interaction.
If you are a Gemini, then you are the information junkies of the zodiac. You want to know everything that is going on, where it is happening, with whom, and why. You delight in sharing information about your friends and love putting thoughts, ideas, and people together. You always know the latest doings in your neighborhood. A sense of humor is important to you, and your rapier wit is impeccably engaged.
You are also the twins of the zodiac. Two separate and distinct personalities inhabit your world, and you move from one to the other with ease. Your social side is always switched on when you are around others, yet your private proclivities need to surface from time to time. Those closest to you can tell which individual is present currently. You shine at dinner parties as you know exactly what to say and how to say it. You love to flirt and are actually quite good at it. You are the social butterflies of the Zodiac.
Writing and speaking come naturally to you, and you can be found in the realm of journalism fairly often. You bore easily and prefer a job with many different pieces and parts. Doing the same thing all the time would put you emotionally over the edge. You need a job or career that allows you to do many different things. Working on an assembly line or doing anything else singularly boring will result in great dissatisfaction and stress. You don’t mind traveling as this gives you the opportunity to see many different views. Writing could be another good avenue for you as you can concentrate on a variety of topics and concerns. Whatever you choose, make sure that it will allow you to move around. A desk job will only do, if it gives your mind the ability to wander.
Patience is not your strong suit, as constant movement is your preferred companion. You are often exceptionally bright and will reach for the stars when given a chance. Life, for you, is a dance.
Yoga, meditation, or anything that helps to center you is a plus. Keeping an active calendar is important for not missing appointments and meetings. You like to keep learning, and your interests run far and wide. Some consider you to be quite a catch.
