My favorite Benjamin Franklin quote is, “Black lives madder.” A close second is, “Corn Pop was a bad dude. And he ran a bunch of bad boys.”
My favorite Ben Franklin quote is: “God made beer because he loves us and wants us to be happy.”
Need I say more?
Ben Franklin also said, "We must all hang together or most assuredly we'll all hang separately".
Benjamin Franklin supposedly came to Philadelphia as a runaway apprentice. He ran away from his older brother's print shop, and arrived in Philadelphia with some rolls in his pockets.
Benjamin Franklin also invented the Glass Armonica (harmonica)
My Father was born in Philadelphia & he loved history, so like it or not, I grew-up with BF quotes out my ears as if they were my Father's original quotes. Here but a few of the many I still endure.

We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately.
By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.
Three can keep a secret, if two of them are dead.
They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.
Some people die at 25 and aren't buried until 75.
A place for everything, everything in its place.
The Constitution only gives people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself.
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
Something for all of us to remember when looking to our current government for "help". Slavery still exists in the form of government hand-outs. AKA "economic slavery".
How about a tip of the hat (at least!) to Deborah Read Franklin, the wife who was, for all practical purposes, a single mother raising their children, and also his illegitimate child by another woman, on her own for the 15 YEARS he lived in Europe, the whole time with his promising to return, which he did after FIVE years but then left again for TEN, not even returning when she had a stroke (!) - bearing in mind what it was like to run a household in Colonial Times, without any of today's basic amenities such as pertain to cooking, providing lamplight, heating a home through frigid New England winters, doing laundry, etc.); and oh yeah, she also ran their businesses in his absence. While America might rightly acknowledge Benjamin Franklin for contributions he made as one of the country's founding fathers and for his inventions and other endeavors, let's also recognize that this Renaissance Man wouldn't have been able to accomplish what he did except for having a wife able to carry their family, their home, and their businesses on her own.
Double Thumbs Up for this!! That guy partied down in Europe!
Have you seen Deborah?! She’s lucky Ben came back from Europe at all!
