Specialty varieties of peace lilies are not very easy to come by in most garden centers, though they have been growing in popularity. You may have more success ordering them from an online source.
- Spathiphyllum wallisii is a smaller peace lily, reaching only 12 inches tall.
- ‘Petite’ is smaller still, at approximately 8–10 inches.
- ‘Sensation’ is the largest variety available, capable of growing up to 4–6 feet in height and width.
- ‘Domino’, is a medium-sized variety with attractively variegated leaves.
- ‘Mojo Lime’, which has lime-green foliage, is another medium-sized peace lily.

I have had my peace lily for about 1 1/2 years. It is very sentimental to me because it came from my father's funeral. It was always very beautiful and looked so healthy. However, within the last few months it started looking terrible. The leaves started to brown on the tips and there were a few yellow ones. It started to wilt and would never perk up after watering it. Within the last few weeks it really started to look like it might die. I took it in to a flower shop and they looked at it and thought that the roots were possibly rotting because the water in the pot was brown and the roots looked really brown. There were a few roots that were still white. They cut out some of the brown roots and cut off all of the dead leaves and trimmed the brown leaves and put new dirt in the pot. It actually looked pretty good when I brought it back home. However, it started to look droopy once again the next day and it still looks that way. Can you give me any advice to help save this plant? It is so special to me and I don't want for it to die. I have bought some fertilizer for it and have done this only once but it still looks pretty droopy. I appreciate any help you can give me.
Since taking it to the flower shop I have only watered it once and I can feel that the top soil is still wet and there is no water sitting in the pot. I just wondered if you had any other tips to help the plant perk up. I am afraid of under watering the plant while it is still drooping and then killing it. I appreciate any tips you can give me.
I have a peace lilly plant from a family funeral. It was a 10 inch pot, full and green. That was 3 months ago. I have been reading on care, only watering once a week. I have repotted because it was over grown. The problem is the newer leaves will bloom out but the bigger leaves turn brown and yellow. Have been cutting them off. Have tried everything but it keeps happening. Help?
If you're finding that it's the older leaves of the Peace Lily that are turning yellow, then that may be natural leaf loss.
Leaves can also turn yellow because the plant either a) doesn't have uniform watering and dries out too much before it gets water or b) the plant has wet "legs" and sits in a tray of water for long periods.
What NPK of fertilizer is best for a peace lily? I just got this monster of a plant from a memorial and I want to keep this thing alive. It is big, green and has 5 big white flowers on it... Is there a schedule that is best to apply various components of NPK or is it all at once? Also does soluble carbohydrate help in its flowering process?
Thanks

Awesome. Thanks!!!
I had a horrible experience with a peace lily after finding the soil was infected. I had to discard the plant, but the bugs stayed in the room.
I just purchased another lily and I am concerned I will do somethings wrong and out it will go. The pot it was purchased in was 8 inches - I had it re-poted to a 10 1/2 plastic pot. Is that ok? When it was re-poted the original soil was not shook out so it's sitting on the old soil with the new soil underneath, at the sides and on top. Is that ok?
Thanks for helping me save my plant.

Peace lily leaves turn pale when the plant is exposed to direct sunlight. Make sure that the sun's rays don't fall directly on the foliage. The peace lily needs repotting if it's really crowded in the container or if roots are growing out of the bottom drainage holes. It's recommended to repot the lily in fresh soil about every 5 years.
