Specialty varieties of peace lilies are not very easy to come by in most garden centers, though they have been growing in popularity. You may have more success ordering them from an online source.
- Spathiphyllum wallisii is a smaller peace lily, reaching only 12 inches tall.
- ‘Petite’ is smaller still, at approximately 8–10 inches.
- ‘Sensation’ is the largest variety available, capable of growing up to 4–6 feet in height and width.
- ‘Domino’, is a medium-sized variety with attractively variegated leaves.
- ‘Mojo Lime’, which has lime-green foliage, is another medium-sized peace lily.

I have a Sensation peace lilly that got root rot. The root rot was removed and it was re-potted. The leaves and branches continued to droop. I cut the leaves, but left the branches. Should I cut the branches down all the way to the soil and will it reive or is it a hopeless cause? Please help!!!!
you may be overwatering your lillies and they may be getting way too much sun. These plants love water but they don't need to be sitting in extremely soggy soil. Only water them when the soil is dry within half an inch off the very top of the soil usually this is only ONCE per week. You can (and should) mist your plants using a spray bottle (just one or two sprits) every few days, this will cut down on your need to water them and provide them with that humidity they love. Also, one more thing about watering and this is really important: do not use tap water unless you let it sit out for 24 hours, exposed to air. This is because peace lillies are sensitive to chlorine which makes tap water safe to drink. So fill up your watering can and let it sit and the chlorine will eventually dissolve out of it.
Sitting out on your porch might be giving them a ton of direct sunlight. This is bad! The leaves on peace lillies are really thin and sensitive to direct sunlight. You should only keep them outside in a shady area if you live in a really humid area that doesn't get colder than 65F (18C) or hotter than 85F (30C). Of course, you can keep them out for part of the year if it gets within that range but definitely keep them out of the sun. But if you live in a dry climate, you may need to water and mist them more frequently. Once again, don't water them unless the soil is dry. Also, these plants will tell you when they need water by very visibly drooping when thirsty and perking up within an hour of being watered!
Finally, don't overfertilise them since you're keeping them in pots. These are very low maintenance plants that are usually satisfied with the minerals from the fresh soil you use when repotting.
I received 2 peace lillies from my moms service in 2019 and it keeps getting better and yellow leaves. I have repoted the plants 3 times already. I have added fertilizer and sprayed the leaves with water. I try to water 2 times a week and I place them on the porch for sunlight. How can I improve my plant life?
We received large peace lily after my father died(about 7 months ago). It has brown edges on the tips of many of the leaves. Most of the leaves are green, but some of the leaves are greenish yellow. It is very large and has not produced any new flowers since we got it in July. Hoe can I help my plant become healthy again?
Denver Johnson I live in the Midwest and peace lilies don't like chlorinated water. I use Spring Water or drinking water. Anything without the chlorine.
i try to read and follow directions. love this plant. i have a few plants in my home that are at least 22 years old. i can not for the life of me keep one of these alive. perhaps i am wrong to say this, but having followed directions i have killed 2 of these with miracle grow. i used job spikes once and they did well but i eventually lost those too. if you find a routine and light schedule that works, id love to know it because it truly is a beautiful plant. best wishes to all
Can you also bottom water?
The other day my peace lily started to drop and despite giving it a good watering it still looked sorry for itself. Yesterday I decided to report it into a slightly larger pot, despite it being the wrong time of year. It still seems droopy and leaves not at all crisp. What do you think I am doing wrong?
