Standard Time Year Round
Keep Standard Time all year.
Keep Standard time
Keep it standard time year round.
Standard time year 'round please. The switch is a hassle and it obviously doesn't take the small farmer/livestock owner into consideration. Try moving 20 geese in the dark so that you can get to work on time. Sure, it will be dark in the morning in December but the animals don't have the abrupt change like they will Sunday.
The days are long enough in the summer without the time change.
I've read a few of the comments and I'm in total agreement. Listen to the words...Daylight [ the natural light of day], Savings [An amount of something that you do not use or spend ], and Time [the measured or measurable period during which an action, process, or condition exists or continues], my definition of time is [past, present, and future.
Can the rock scientist explain how did they change the daylight, who benefitted from the savings, [i'm sure a lobbyist], and how moving the clock one hour change the earth from spinning on its axis? There is not any logic in it? Other states adopted not to participate in the nonsense. Nature does not adapt to ANYONE regardless of your belief sytem.
DST is a dreadful thing in my opinion. Personally, it generally takes me a couple of months to adjust to DST. I hate it! Everything is off. The feral cats I feed are confused about meal time, I know farmers who say the care of their farm animals becomes skewed. Taking medication is affected when it has to be taken the same time every day, and with food. Meal times are changed. The light of the world is different and not in a good way. DST is ridiculous and absolutely unnecessary. I believe it has been proven that no one truly benefits from DST. DST does not "gain" an extra hour. There are still only 24 hours in a day regardless of how the clock is set. Please stop. When the clocks change back to standard time this November, please leave them permanently at standard time. We should never again change to DST. Standard time is natural. DST is something fabricated by people who don't really know what they're doing.
I GREATLY appreciate your statement, I copied it AND am asking "USE IT" (Partially) as "MY" statement to. I mean YOU articulated my view PERFECTLY.

Has anyone else noticed that most of the people commenting on this subject here are adamently against DST? Let's not forget the Farmers, who probably the MOST effected by time changes (check out the comment from an actual farmer below). I've lived on this farm for quite a long time, have talked with other farmers, and have talked with the mothers of young school-aged children and all say basically the same thing; let our clocks reflect the time that Nature intended, aligned with the sun. Also, I totally agree with the gentleman who would like to turn his clock back 60 years...that would be just about perfect for me too!!
I just wrote to the House Representative who represents my district and asked that he consider voting No for this bill. It’s passed Senate and now it’s on its way to the House. I would encourage everyone else who wants to keep Standard Time to do this. It might help, and it certainly can’t hurt.
