I want the time to remain the same year round myself. It is so depressing for it to get dark at 4 or five p.m.
I think daylight savings time is not a good thing for several reasons the 1st of which the seasons dictate a natural mapping of the mapping of daylight to dark hours also also trying to put children to bed at 809 o'clock when it's still daylight or badly dark it's in the samellie dork it's insane because they have to get up early in the morning to get ready for school and I believe this change interrupts there Natural clock for learning and interpretations
Living in Ohio, I prefer Daylight Savings time to be eliminated.
i grew up in AZ and they did away with DST in i think '67 or '68..... businesses have seasonal hours, longer in the summer, shorter in the winter.....the same way they do now even WITH DST..... switching to DST year round, imo, is NOT a good idea, because come december and january, not only will kids (and grownups) get up for work/school in the dark, they will be on the way to work/school in the dark.....and then be starting work/school in the dark.....that's gonna fly like a lead balloon!! and for those of you who like the great outdoors, and who learned as children, as i did, how to tell time by using your shadow.....high noon will become high one..... no matter what the clock says, there are only 24 hours in a day.....no matter what....change your routine, not your clock!!
There are more serious issues to worry about in this complex world we live in than that. And the nonsense they are trying to promote that in the daylight there is less crime is just not true. Here in New York City,we had an incident where a man was on his way to meet people for brunch and he was killed by a gunshot in broad daylight!A lie lime that would be included just to try to get this bill passed. It seems that it has hit a brick wall. Also they do not understand that nighttime has been here since mankind here been here.No matter what ,nature does fight back. The sun and the moon are weary of this manipulation. And with the way climate change is going they also will fight back. The sun ,the moon, and the universe were not created for humans especially politicians to direct them any way they wish.It is all about greed!Mother Nature demands to be left alone.
The Government is going to do what they want, they don't listen to what we want or have to say. They want to play golf with there buddies in the evening. What about the kids that walk to school and the bus stop. Besides being in class and it's still dark. They may not have a say, but parents, grandparents and caretakers have a say! Leave it at Standard Time!!! I'm tired of changing the clocks twice a year and it takes me 2 weeks at least to adjust!
Yes please leave it at standard time. I live in Oregon
I liked not having to change my clock when I lived in Ecuador, and despite being at the equator there was a subtle difference in sunshine throughout the year. Perhaps God designed the world as a quirky place to keep us on our toes, guessing a bit as we progressively learn that this blue dot in the galaxy is all we really have. Finding how to make it better is the challenge we face and embracing diversity over comfort might be the formula for success.
I love DST. It is awful going to the store after work in the dark. And when I get home there is still daytime, my life can keep going, things at home can get done. I live in Missouri and so hope we go DST year round
If you wanna know the truth I hate daylight saving time. I wish you would be standard time , year round!
