I like clocks but changing them twice annually is a chore! I hope and wish for permanent time. DST or Standard is ok with me, but please get rid of clock changing!
Springtime in Colorado
It starts on it's own. staying daylight longer in the evening! And lighter in the morning! Just leave the time alone! PLEASE!
I have opposed changing our clocks twice a year for as long as I can remember. I prefer to keep one time and I strongly prefer that time be DST. I hope Congress finally acts and makes this change on the heels of over half the states enacting legislation on point.
STOP THE TIME CHANGE PLEASE!!!!! Life has become so busy that many find it difficult to get enough sleep in a regular manner. The time change every 6 months only ADDS to the daily stress. It is no longer necessary to change the time. Farmers have headlights, GPS and hi-tech equipment. I would really rejoice if before November congress would let us live in the current time!!!!!!!
my personal take... I do not like time change. Nether do my animals when it comes to dinner time!!!
Well here is the Indigenous Peoples take on turning the clocks back and forward! "Only The White man Thinks he can make a Blanket longer by cutting off the top and sewing it on the bottom!" In other words it's still 24 hrs no matter how you look at it. ,
Time is a Man Made concept used to regulate the masses. God has no time. " How
long is Eternity, picture a feather brushing against a ball bearing to wear it down.
I agree, stop the change. We don't need it. My one sister lives in Indiana and they don't change time in her area (Valpraiso). She loves it. I hate changing the clocks twice a year.
PLEASE! End this old fashioned law. 100 years later, we have learned so much about the affects of DST on our mind, spirit, and body. Seasonal depression is real ya’ll. I spend every October filled with dread that November is coming. After Halloween, I only surface for Thanksgiving and then don’t surface again until Christmas. I usually don’t begin adjusting until February then weeks later we change again. There’s nothing like being on the job at 4:30pm and seeing the sun going down. By the time I get home it’s dark. My internal clock says the day is ending. It just makes me want to climb in bed, I lose energy and drive. I truly believe DST imbalances our natural rhythm. Is there a petition going around? I will sign it,
I will promote it on social media, I will stand on street corners and gather signatures, in the infamous words of Cameo, I will “call your momma, your sister and your brother too, Word Up”😂
If you want it to not get dark so early in the winter then you want year round DST. You are literally asking for the opposite
What you are actually saying is not that DST itself is the problem but that we should observe it year round. Keep in mind that the alternative to the early November/December sunsets is later sunrises especially in December/January. If we didn't "fall back" as you are suggesting, sunrise would be after 8:00 A.M. in the Northeast during those months and even later than that in other parts of the country. This could especially be hazardous after a snowstorm when people would be clearing off their cars in the dark. I don't think Americans would ever agree on which time to follow year round, so what we are doing seems to be a good compromise. Besides, most phones and computers are now programmed to change automatically, and it would be a major glitch to try to undo all that now.
Just go half way and leave it at that , Adjust the Clocks 1/2 hr Period.
