How to Properly Display the American Flag

Hi, Abigail: Definitely yes, and no doubt it has been done countless times. In general terms, it is a soldier's duty to protect Old Glory, in any condition, at all costs. If all soldiers expire, there is no one left on Earth to guard her, so every possible measure must be taken to retain protection, including soiling or damaging Old Glory herself. Thanks for being so patriotic to ask, and good luck to your sister!
Hi, CSM Horvath: First of all, thank you so much for your dedicated service! We believe that you are referring to a staff that is at 90 degrees to the wall rather than mounted on it flat. In the case of the extending staff, Old Glory should not be mounted along her "fly" (length); she should always be attached along her "hoist" (width), such that the length of the flag is hanging down. Thanks for this great question!
