How to Properly Display the American Flag
More Like This
On my front porch I have columns. I have positioned the American on the middle column slightly higher than the other 2. The Marine Corps flag is to the right ( looking at the flags from the front) and a Trump 2020 flag to the left. Is this the correct positioning for the flags ? Having some heated ummm discussions about this!! It would be great if you would clear this up
thanks for your help
Hi, Chuck: From a highly technical standpoint, the flags are OK as is. However, common practice and understanding would have you swap the USMC and Trump flags because the left side (as you look at them) is of higher order, and the USMC flag, being military, would trump (sorry) the political flag (being civilian). Thanks for asking and good luck with those ... ummm ... discussions!
What about T-Shirts, hats, other clothing that have the flag or portions of the flag? Uncle Sam Style.... not printed on cardboard? What about Made in USA emblems? Or 4th of July fireworks and stands??
Should a political flag fly below an American flag?
I just built a new garage and would like to paint an American Flag design on the floor prior to applying epoxy, but I don't want to disrespect the honor of the flag. Is this possible?
I go to many FD funerals. At all of them 2 ladders are above the street with the flag hanging straight down. I understand the union is to be north and east but if there is a procession passing under the flag which way does the union fly? Still north and east or to the left of the forward march of the procession. Thx.
