Can an individual wear a shirt that looks really close like an American flag??
I was told that you take the flag down every night or if it’s raining is this correct or can the flag be blown all the time?
One of the meetings I attend, when it's time for the pledge of Allegiance, while the flag is on it's staff, a member will hold the flag by the gold fringe with his hands. I was under the impression this is wrong. I want to complain, but I would like to know for certainty. I've finally gotten them to display our flag correctly.
I've just read through the proper etiquette rules for displaying our flag, and it dawned on me that perhaps the gold medal-winning athletes at the world Olympics are using it improperly when they drape themselves in it after a victory. Is that correct?
Am I right in thinking that the gold fringe on the flag is for static display only?
I was at a parade where the U.S. flag had no gold fringe, but the three other flags in the Color Guard did have gold fringe. When marching, I do not think the flag should have gold fringe on it. Am I correct?
