How to Properly Display the American Flag

actually, the field should be to the north or east when displayed in a hallway with traffic in either direction. This is why it may be to the left or right; depends on which direction you are travelling.
Question:
Is it ok to fly the American Flag with the flag of a commercial business on the same flag pole?
Thank you very much.
We want to create a logo with Stand for the Flag and Kneel to the Cross and sell them as magnets to make money for an organization. A friend of mine told me that no symbol is allowed to touch the flag. As I read these rules, it is my understanding that we cannot do this, is that correct? I have used all free images to avoid copyright issues. We can make the flag not touch the cross. We do not want to do anything wrong, but we need to know if this is allowed before we invest in something like this.
Hi, Donna: We assume that you are talking about some image like a drawing or painting that will be transferred to a magnet. This is "flag art," in which just about anything goes, since it falls under Freedom of Speech. So you would be OK in doing this, provided that all was in good taste. It could be either way, touching or not touching. Thanks for asking and good luck!
......even though there is a flag-pole! I’ve asked if the city receives $$ from the state and federal government...of course! Is this breaking the law?
How many days before & after the designated days to fly the United States Flag, should you leave it up?

Hi, Greg: Excellent question! You can't, as there is no correct or incorrect way in this situation. The one guideline is that if hallway traffic going in one direction (seeing it from one side) is going to be greater than the traffic viewing it from the other side, then the flag would be hung so that the union was in the upper left when viewed from this "greater traffic" side. Thanks for asking!
