How to Properly Display the American Flag

Hi, Keith: This really depends on the sizes of the flags, height of the flagpole, etc., but from a practical standpoint it is just important to make sure that there is some spacing between flags on the halyard and that they are not going to interfere with one another when flying free. Also, the spacing between all flags should be the same. So, in general, something between 4 and 10 inches is usually what ends up working out, but—again—this depends. Thanks for asking!
Hi, Greg: If you mean "permissible," the answer is yes, as is almost anything under Freedom of Speech. You would want to hang it properly, though, meaning with its blue union at upper left. Whether it is offensive lies in the eyes of every beholder. Thanks for caring so much to ask!
