My mom, Gladys O. S. was a kind and godly woman. Mom’s mantra was “Give it to God.” She taught me to love and forgive others as often as they offend you. Mom died February 2012. I love you mom! Sleep on Momma, take your rest; we all love you but God loves you best.
Today is a sad one for me, because my Mother has terminal Cancer and I know this will be the last one with her on earth, I know there are many Moms in Heaven. And many without their Moms today. My thoughts are with you today.
Linda Winton->Give Thanks, today, you are celebrating Mother's day with your Mom! I am 58 years old. I lost my Mom about 12 years ago! She was my best friend! I miss her every day. She and my Grandmother taught me so so much! I am grateful for the gifts I received from those two ladies! They will always be with me in memory and spirit! Stay in the present with the gift of Your Mom's presence!
Linda,my heart goes out to you and your Mother,I wish you both the Best Day you could possibly have,I have lost my Mother and I know how difficult it is.My best thought is to always try and remember the wonderful times you have together and let them bring you peace! Wishing you both all the best.Hugs and prayers.xxxx
I'm so lucky and thank God that my mom is with me. I pray that my mom has a long and healthy life. I love her soooooo much and feel blessed every day.
Happy mother's day to all the mothers. My mother is the greatest mom in this world to me. God will give her a great reward, I love you forever, mom............
Happy Mothers Day. I am wishing that I could tell my mother the same once again. She was quite a woman. She would she give her shirt off her back if a stranger needed it and give them her last $5 until social security payment came again. But also she also reminded us in a gentle way to walk with God. Again the humor she showed one even at her advanced age was always there. Yes I wish I could tell her once again. Be thankful if your mother is alive and spend time with her. Happy Mothers Day Mom.
Mother's Day has become so commercialized that we forget the true meaning. A mother should be honored on this day and 365 days a year. My son's always asked what I wanted for Mother's Day and I would tell them, just make me proud... I didn't have children just to receive a gift on one day, my boys are the gift, that I enjoy everyday....
Here is Henderson, KY we pay tribute to Mary Towles Sasseen as the originator of Mother's Day. See this link for more info. Thanks! http://hendersonkyhistory.com/mothersdayorigin.htm
I live in Grafton, WV in Taylor Co. For anyone who has the time or a chance to visit the Mothers Day Shrine or the birth place of Anna Jarvis ( Webster) please do so. Both are not only beautiful and interesting places but rich in the history of Mothers Day.
