Most smartphones, computers, and other devices that are connected to the internet update themselves if you have them set to update date, time, and time zone automatically. You might still need to change the time by hand on things like appliances, cars, or wall clocks. -
Does Canada change clocks on the same day as the United States?
Some parts of Canada still change their clocks on the same schedule as the United States. However, provinces and territories set their own time rules, and several of them stopped changing clocks in 2026.
British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, and the Northwest Territories will not turn their clocks back on November 1, 2026. Yukon and Saskatchewan also use one time year-round.
Other parts of Canada, including most of Ontario and Quebec and the Atlantic provinces, continue to observe seasonal time changes.

Will these comments make a difference? I hope so. Daylight saving is ridiculous and should be done away with. If you want to get up earlier or later, just do that. That old comment "It's like cutting off a foot from the top of the blanket and sewing it onto the bottom" is what DS is. Just makes no sense.
It needs to be Standard Time, not Saving Time, year round. The benefits would be noticeable for many reasons.
I dislike changing clocks. Want more daylight, change your schedule.
Keep STANDARD TIME, !!!!!!
I’m now 75 and the clock change is more of a misery than ever. But the older population is growing larger every year, and more and more Americans have trouble driving at night. At the same time, some of us find it harder and harder to get up early. So the change that would benefit the most people seems pretty obvious to me.
You forgot the other two time zones….Atlantic and Newfoundland/Labrador time zones. Atlantic time zone is an hour ahead of eastern time zone and Newfoundland/Labrador time zone is 1 hour 30 mins ahead of eastern time zone.
