Does Canada change clocks on the same day as the United States?
Some parts of Canada still change their clocks on the same schedule as the United States. However, provinces and territories set their own time rules, and several of them stopped changing clocks in 2026.

DST was fun when I was very young, but not so much after starting to work. It feels unnatural to have to go to bed with sunshine and wake up in darkness. School busses start rolling through our neighborhood around 6 a.m., way before sunrise until summer break, and it just isn’t safe. And I don’t understand the energy savings - does it somehow save energy to have to have all your lights on in the morning instead of evening? Keep Standard Time, when the sun is directly overhead at Noon, like it’s meant to be.
I really don’t see what everyone is complaining about I am almost 60 and dls has been around for as long as I can remember it might be an inconvenience for some people a whole 2 days a year or to be nicer maybe it takes a few extra days to get used to but no matter the time you’re alarm clocks still go off at the same time they always did and you’ve always gotten up it’s a part of history no matter how it got there and our routine
It's about time (pun intended) we just kept standard time permanently--no more changing the damn clocks.
I concur.
Enough of this nonsense.
Just live life according to the sun.
Change the time of your engagements.
I totally agree! Our time should be according to the sun!
Set the time and leave it. With the 24 hour world and work, the lights and electricity stays on regardless. One less worry. Just a means of control, by the government.
I agree! There is no legitimate reason for changing the clocks. The worst of this is the effect on children who have to adjust for school, but ALL of us are messing up our biological clocks.
I totally agree with Tom. Keep Standard Time permanently.
I think we should just keep our regular time!! & never change the clocks again.
Please. We all need that hour stole
Once I passed my mid-forties, I started seeing the same effects in myself I'd heard others lament about changing the clocks, the sleep schedule disruptions, etc. and hang Jones with those who say, "I really don't care which one you pick, year round Standard Time, year round Daylight Saving Time, or a 30 minute compromise between the two. Just pick a time, and use it, and by all means--stop changing the clocks back and forth!
